Trail Overview

County Road 68J is a trail best run west to east, starting just past the Forsyth Canyon Trailhead. It is a 2.5-mile trail that contains lots of large embedded rocks, deep off-camber wash-outs, and drop-downs. In the Spring and Early Fall, there can be large mud holes. It is best driven in a high-clearance 4x4, as it will test the capability of your rig. Backing may be necessary to allow other vehicles to pass. Both sides of the road are Private property, so please be respectful and stay on the trail.

Was a great drive. Washed out in many places making it more like a 5 vs 4. Lots of fun / good opportunity to articulate your suspension. Stock height ineos grenadier with 33” mtrs. I did not air down but should have / would have been a little easier on the tires managing some of the rocks in places.

There are some rolling and rocky sections that will test you vehicles articulation. Go at it slow and shouldn't be an issue, a spotter will help. Trail was open and clear, went at it east to west (uphill) and was a little easier.

Ran the trail West - East, starting right at 8pm and finished just as it got dark. The very stock Gladiator Rubicon handled every obstacle without a sweat, scratch, or bump. Couple of puddles/mud holes around the 2/3’s mark, most were shallow though the fifth in line (W to E) was the deepest, maybe 16-20” but didn’t feel very muddy underneath. Rocks were dry and the dirt was firm. We saw a cougar munching on a horse just off of CR68, close to the West entrance of 68J/ Forsythe Canyon Trailhead, and a juvenile bull moose just off the trail itself about midway through, so definitely keep an eye out for wildlife if you have any spotters outside the vehicle.

Fun trail definitely rough this time of year there are 2 sections specially that get extremely slick even on K02s Aired down diff Locked in 4x4 the beginning and end so no matter what side u start on the middle of the trails fine beginner climbing but other then that fun trail cleared everything aside from the east side entrance I did scrap my running board with 35s on a 4 inch lift but nothing crazy great views and a good time
