Trail Overview
This BLM two-track begins on Trail Gulch Road and provides a convenient crossover connection to BLM Road 8480. The route follows a simple descent and ascent along a fence line, offering pleasant views of the surrounding high-desert landscape. While generally easy to navigate, drivers may encounter a few narrow sections and occasional rain ruts that require attention. In dry conditions, most high-clearance vehicles can complete the trail without difficulty, and many drivers will find that engaging 4WD is unnecessary.
Difficulty
This is not a particularly difficult trail, and most 4WD vehicles—as well as high-clearance 2WD vehicles with a knowledgeable driver—should be able to complete this crossover without issue in dry conditions. While minor obstacles may be present, the route is generally straightforward and suitable for drivers with basic off-road experience.
