Trail Overview
This route branches off the main Dotsero Crater Loop and winds through rolling foothills, providing exceptional views of the surrounding mountains and high-desert landscape. The trail is easy to navigate and suitable for most stock high-clearance vehicles, making it a worthwhile side trip for those exploring the area. While short and straightforward, the scenic overlooks and panoramic vistas make it well worth checking out.
Difficulty
While this trail is not particularly difficult in dry conditions, there is one low-lying section that can become a significant water crossing when runoff or seasonal flows are present. Aside from that obstacle, the route is generally straightforward for 4WD vehicles. Motorcycle riders should exercise additional caution, as several sections contain deep silt and soft, loose dirt that can be difficult to see and may catch riders off guard.
