Trail Overview
This highly technical trail begins through a narrow, difficult-to-see entrance off the pavement, with a large parking area nearby. The route consists of fine dirt and sand with 6–8 inch ruts, increasing to 14-inch washouts and 6–8 inch rock ledges around 0.2 miles. The trail then becomes increasingly rocky and narrow, with 6–10 inch rocks, cliffside terrain, and significant pinstriping potential.
At 0.4 miles, a major rock obstacle reaches approximately 18 inches tall, followed by additional ledges and rock gardens; 4WD is required. Around 0.8 miles, the trail becomes extremely narrow with heavy overgrowth, and by 1.2 miles the terrain becomes significantly more difficult. A large campsite near the entrance can accommodate up to eight vehicles.
Difficulty
This trail has 18- to 24-inch rock obstacles, 14- to 30-inch washouts, narrow cliffside terrain, steep and rocky sections, and unavoidable pinstriping potential. The difficulty increases substantially farther into the trail, making experienced drivers, 4WD, careful line selection, and spotters highly recommended. Do not attempt this trail when wet or raining.
