Trail Overview

This is a short, fun singletrack trail for dirt bikes and ATVs only that connects Trail 24 with Trail 40. From Trail 24, it runs up a hillside through a tree section over a couple short climbs. It then transitions to a shelf trail along an open hillside area before finishing with a fast and flowy stretch over soft dirt. There are occasional whoops, loose rocks, and shallow ruts, but the short climbs are the most challenging obstables. A green/red sticker permit is required for OHV as well as a Day Use fee payable at the Ballinger Day Use staging area. Weak to no cellular service in the area. Tread Lightly and Pack-It-Out.

Difficulty

The trail is primarily packed or soft dirt with occasional shallow ruts, loose and embedded small rocks, and some stretches of small whoops. The most challenging obstacles on this trail are several short hill climbs. These hills can have shallow ruts and may be a little off-camber. Otherwise, it is a fast and flowy ride that steadily climbs about 450 ft up several hillsides.
