This 3-mile out-and-back trail provides a direct, accessible route starting and ending at Medicine Lake Road within the Modoc National Forest. The track cuts directly through a significant section of the 2021 Antelope Forest Fire burn scar, offering an immersive look at the landscape’s recovery. While the fire’s legacy is visible in every direction, the route also highlights the resilience of the local flora; the ground cover is actively regenerating, featuring a diverse array of species including gooseberry and yellow rabbit bush.
