Medicine Lake Road - FS 44N75

This gravel trail maintains a width of 1 to 2 vehicles and runs through the Modoc National Forest, providing a well-traveled route through the region. The trail runs through and parallel to part of the area devastated by the 2021 Antelope Fire, which burned over 154,000 acres, offering visitors a view into the forest's ongoing recovery process. Some sections along the trail feature new-growth pine trees with relatively little ground foliage, reflecting the early stages of forest regeneration following the fire. The gravel surface features some washboards throughout the route, requiring speed management for a comfortable ride. The generous 1- to 2-vehicle width provides comfortable passing room and reduces concerns about oncoming traffic, but please use caution.
