Trail Overview
This 3-mile point-to-point trail starts on Highway 15, crosses Highway 77, and ends at Three Sisters Trail, providing a convenient connecting trail between major routes in the Klamath National Forest. The trail cuts through a mature pine forest with lots of sagebrush and other flora lining the track. The trail surface consists of dusty dirt and maintains a width of one vehicle. This trail offers an excellent escape from summer heat, as the tall, mature trees provide substantial shade coverage throughout most of the route, making it a comfortable option during warmer months. The trail remains relatively flat with no significant obstacles, contributing to its accessible and easy-going character. As you approach the eastern end of the trail, you enter an area that was part of the 2021 Antelope Fire, where evidence of both the fire damage and subsequent cleanup efforts remains visible. This section provides context about the forest's resilience and recovery, contrasting with the mature, healthy forest experienced through the majority of the route.
