Trail Overview

This 4-mile route starts and returns to Medicine Lake Road, also known as Highway 49. The surface is loose dirt covered with dead pine needles and pine cones, running through pine trees and lots of manzanita bushes. Some of the manzanita has grown into the trail, causing pinstripes along the way. The trail stays 1 to 1.5 vehicles wide throughout. Drivers will need to go over a 2-inch branch as well as a partial 18-inch log, both of which require high clearance to navigate comfortably.
