Hambone - FS 43N21A

Part of this trail runs slightly above the surrounding area on a mild shelf road. The route passes through new-growth ponderosa pines and antelope bitterbrush within the Shasta National Forest, with some bitterbrush growing right in the trail's median. Manzanita bushes also line portions of the route. Some very low-hanging branches appear along the way, worth keeping in mind for taller vehicles. Overall, the trail surface stays very smooth throughout.
