Trail Overview
This route serves as a significant thoroughfare through a landscape reshaped by the 2021 Antelope Forest Fire. Recently cleaned up and graded, the trail offers a clear passage through a mosaic of recovering forest—where some fire-scarred trees still stand as skeletal remnants—and areas now dominated by vibrant new growth, particularly sagebrush. As a result of the fire and subsequent remediation efforts, most historical spur trails have been reclaimed by the landscape and are no longer accessible. The route provides a compelling look at the transition from destruction to renewal, offering wide, open vistas of the surrounding mountain ranges, especially where the trail follows natural shelf formations.
