Dirt for the first portion and then very rocky/gravelly for the middle section before transitioning back to a dirt road. One or two small sections of snow and ice near the top. Two turns on the trail get you tilting on the ascent. Overall felt moderate but still manageable for us as relatively new offroaders. Great views all the way up the trail!

Snow near the top of the peak around 9000ft. Stock GX with All Seasons tires had no issue getting up there, even over some snow covered trail (very short section)

Easy trail. In good conditions, it's probably doable with any 4WD SUV. For some people, it's maybe quite steep. Beatiful views.

Trail is open and gives great sweeping views to the east of Carson Valley. Definately need 4wd in some spots due to mud/ruts (recent fall rains in area contributed). Not for stock 2wd vehicles but I and friends easily did this in my stock 21 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and his Land Rover Defender. Some sharp rocks in some areas but easily avoided. Lower portion of trail has some good fall colors. Good views of Hope Valley as well. We ran into about four other vehicles on a Sunday.

Trail conditions were good. Steep and a little loose in spots but generally a good cruise

Impassable at the pictured point due to snow. 2WD high clearance possible up to that point

This was an incredibly easy and scenic drive. Did it in a mostly stock GX460 with All-terrains. The track needs to be updated to show the correct route right at the top, just near that large structure. You want to stay towards the front of it, not the back. Some sharp rocks need to be paid attention to - tire placement. Lots of loose stuff. Had the truck in 4L for a bit but, like I said, it was easy. See photo for corrected route (blue dots are where you want to go, red dot is one you definitely want to avoid... Make sure you stay left at the junction)

This is a great road. Very scenic. You climb from 6700 - 9700 feet. I will be doing it again. It is an easy climb might even make it in 2 wheel drive.
