Trail Overview

This point-to-point trail is a gravel and dirt road that runs from Highway 15, also known as the Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway, to Old Camp One - FS 42N01. It stays 2 to 3 vehicles wide and is well graded throughout, sitting within the Shasta National Forest and surrounded by new-growth pine trees and plenty of manzanita bushes. This road is used primarily by a logging company to access their land, so it remains an active logging road. Use caution while driving, as commercial truck traffic is a real possibility. The trail is also very dusty, so extra following distance is recommended when trailing other vehicles.
