This beautiful trail winds uphill through the mountain on bright red soil, creating a striking contrast with the surrounding forest. The route is enjoyable to drive, with sections of trees trimmed just enough to accommodate ATVs and SxSs. However, a few logs remain across the trail and may need to be cleared or moved out of the way, so bringing a chainsaw or recovery strap is a good idea. Fencing runs through the area, suggesting it is managed land, so be mindful of any posted restrictions and stay on permitted routes. The trail eventually opens into a large area with room for dispersed camping, making it a lovely place to stop and enjoy the surroundings. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid California ATV Operating Permit sticker.
