Trail Overview

This trail serves as a main north to south route within the Shasta National Forest, surrounded by a mix of pine trees and bushes of various ages. The route features small ruts and dusty conditions throughout, along with numerous downed trees, branches, and brush that require careful maneuvering. Drivers should take particular caution here. Several downed trees are sticking out partially on the sides of the road at windshield level. While easy to avoid, they can be hard to spot in dusty conditions, especially when following another vehicle. One section opens up into a clear meadow that appears to be a clear cut area where new trees have been planted.
