Hambone East - FS 41N23

This 1.5-mile point-to-point trail connects Highway 15, also known as the Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway, to Davis - FS 42N04, another main north-to-south 4x4 trail. The route runs through a new-growth pine tree area within the Shasta National Forest. The trail surface varies between dusty dirt and some gravel. As a high-use trail, it shows some washboards and uneven bumps along the way. This is a tight corridor, with young pine trees crowding the lane and many branches slightly protruding into the path, so use extra caution when dust reduces visibility.
