Trail Overview
On the west side, this trail starts just past the private land off BLM 075 and begins by following a power line for reference. The surface is fine sand, creating a dusty path throughout. The trail is mostly barren but has some desert brush, including creosote bushes scattered about. You'll encounter whoops, washboards, and off-camber sections that keep you adjusting your driving. There are some deep ruts up to 18 inches that demand careful navigation. The route drops in and out of small washes with some mud walls creating varied terrain. The Fish Lake Mountains are visible to your south, providing scenic views as you navigate. This is an access trail to many trails in this area.
Difficulty
High clearance four wheel drive is highly recommended for this trail. The fine sand and dusty conditions require momentum management and airing down. The deep ruts up to 18 inches are serious obstacles that require high clearance and skilled line choice. The combination of whoops, washboards, off-camber sections, and wash crossings creates a challenging ride that demands attention. The dusty path will reduce visibility when following other vehicles.
