Trail Overview
South Winona Forest Road connects to North Fork Pinnacle Road at an intersection with Winona Forest Drive and then continues east to Highway 9. This well-traveled route is suitable for most high-clearance vehicles, although erosion has created scattered whoops, shallow puddles, and uneven sections that may worsen after heavy rain. The road is mostly one vehicle wide, with several pull-off areas for passing traffic. A dispersed campsite is located along the route, offering a convenient place to stop and enjoy the surrounding forest. Aside from the naturally uneven surface, there are no major obstacles, making this a relaxed and scenic drive.
