Trail Overview

This trail consists of loose rocks, washed areas, and a couple of places that your high-clearance vehicle will have no problem going over. Once you get to the end of the trail, you will need to walk a short distance up to get a look at the mansion ruins. Also, this is a good place to have lunch or take a break.

History

This is a mining trail and the mansion was built by the manager of the Copper Creek Mine. It consisted of 2 stories, 20 rooms, 2- to 3-story towers on each end, fruit trees, and polished wood floors, and was meant to show refinement to potential investors. It was abandoned in 1910 and all wood was stripped from the building and moved elsewhere.

Definitely more that a 5 on the scale. At the end of the trail the gate is closed with a sign saying private property

Gate blocking access at the last 1/8 mile or so. Anything before that is open.

You can no longer access Sybley Mansion at the Arizona State Trust Line Land line. There is a turnaround spot near the gate.
