Trail Overview
This is a faint spur off of Trail #21 that rides over a grassy and rocky hillside slope, descending steeply for half a mile. The trail is covered in chunky, loose rocks that are obscured underneath a layer of tall grass, making it unpredictable. The trail is overgrown with grass and bushes. It descends to the Section 23 Tank and will have to be ridden as an out-and-back. The rocks ping you around, and the uphill direction is difficult to maintain traction and momentum. There’s no real reason to ride this except for extending your mileage while riding Coldwater Trail #21. Although designated for ATVs per the Prescott National Forest map, this trail is only accessible from the singletrack segment of Trail #21, so it will only be accessible by dirt bikers.
Difficulty
This is a moderate trail due to a constant layer of unpredictable chunky loose rocks and a very steep slope for the whole spur, making it more suitable for experienced dirt bikers. This trail is very physically demanding with a relentless layer of rocks.
