Trail Overview

Pe1217 Starts at the Y intersection with Pe1215. Follows through the valley to the base of Jackpot Mesa. Lots of little washouts and ruts on the low crossing transitions. Natural gravel and dirt two-track. There are a Few narrow sections; possible pinstripes in those areas. A few up-and-down climbs. No obstacles, nothing technical. 4wd and high clearance are recommended for the transitions. Camp ring is located on the trail. The Trail is lined with desert creosote, cedar trees, prickly pear, and wild grass. A few sections of large rocks are laid out on the transitions. This Trail ends at state trust land at the top of the last hill on the southeast side of the Mesa. Nothing technical; no obstacles, But Bumpy. Excellent stargazing area
