Trail Overview

BLM PE1137 is a point-to-point gravel 2-track connection between BLM PE1139 and BLM PE1132 and offers an alternate route when washouts make BLM PE1139 impassable. The trail includes four wash crossings that can quickly become impassable during monsoons. There is a gate that must be opened and closed along the route; it is difficult to handle due to the barbed wire and heavy tension, so use caution. Just beyond the gate are the remains of an old homestead, adding an interesting historical feature to the route. The trail has no major technical obstacles, although one wash crossing includes a soft shelf-like ledge that requires some attention. AT&T LTE and 5G were available. This is a useful connector through the network, but monsoon conditions can change the route quickly.
