Trail Overview

BLM PE1132 is a point to point 2 track gravel trail. Enter through a gate off Highway 70, and the trail runs east to west. Large rock gravel, bumpy but nothing technical, found on the east side. This trail gives access to BLM PE1137 that will take you to the trails that track north. Trail surrounded by desert creosote and cacti, with beautiful mountains surrounding the area. This trail crosses the wash and could become impassable in wet conditions. Few pin stripes along the way; if not paying attention, a few tighter sections after the wash crossings. The trail is a great spot for desert sunsets did not find camping directly on the trail. Watch for the ground cover cacti. They look sweet and huggable, but I promise they are the worst kind. ESPECIALLY WATCH PETS AND CHILDREN. The west side of this trail becomes completely covered in prickly pear and looks at first to disappear back into nature, but it continues to track. It gets interesting in the wash; navigate with care and follow the path of least resistance goes in and out, tight and wide S-turns around the trees and high cliff walls. Eventually, wind through to an exit. Do not be in the wash during wet conditions. The exit is a short right U-turn past the cliff walls. And eventually you will be at a dead end at BLM PE1126. Fun trail learning to navigate through terrain that every rainstorm changes. Trust what you see and go slow. No service down in the wash.

Difficulty

No major technical obstacles were found, but navigation becomes more challenging through the wash, where finding the correct route requires attention. High clearance is recommended, with 4WD being a plus for the rougher sections. The wash can become soft and impassable after rain, so avoid the trail during wet conditions.
