M0787 is a quieter trail compared to some of the more popular routes in the area, offering a chance to escape into a peaceful desert environment. As you travel this route, you'll find that the bushes are more tightly clustered, providing a sense of seclusion. Minor washouts can be encountered along the way, but they're generally manageable, allowing for a tranquil experience as you navigate through the landscape. The wildlife in this area is vibrant; during your journey, you might be lucky enough to spot a desert fox, some quail, or even a javelina! The trail also leads you into a beautiful forest of cholla cacti, enhancing the scenic beauty of your surroundings as you traverse through this unique habitat. However, be mindful that M0787 does not offer options for dispersed camping, and its narrow width can make it challenging for larger vehicles--particularly when it comes to passing oncoming traffic. With the bushes close to the trail's edge, you may need to exercise caution to avoid minor scratches. Important Note: Cellular service along this trail is limited, typically offering only one bar of LTE, which may not be reliable. Before you embark on your adventure, be sure to obtain the necessary Arizona State Land Trust permit to access the area.
