Trail Overview

This out-and-back trail branches off FS 138 and winds through classic Arizona desert terrain filled with creosote and prickly pear cactus. The route follows a mostly wide dirt and gravel two-track with a few narrow sections where light pinstriping is possible. Loose rocks scattered throughout the trail create a consistently bumpy ride, though no major obstacles were encountered. Several hiking access points can be found along portions of the route, making it a good area for exploring beyond the vehicle trail itself. Dispersed camping opportunities exist throughout the area, including a nice, shaded tree near the end of the trail that makes a great campsite or lunch stop. The trail eventually ends overlooking the wash below, offering scenic views and a quiet, remote desert setting.
