Trail Overview

Take this bypass if you want to avoid the Highway 89A asphalt through Jerome. Nice twisty scenic trail that skirts the mountain above Jerome and dumps you out on FS 72 just north of the Jerome Mine. FS 72 takes you into Jerome at the fire station. Awesome views of the Jerome Mine, the Verde Valley, and Sedona.

I definitely need to leave a review… The trail is mostly rocky and overgrown-definitely going to get some AZ pinstripes. Near the end of trail before connecting to FR leading back to Jerome, there’s an area washed away off camber. We found the back end of our Jeep slipping down into a ravine and real quickly had to gun it outta there or we would have been a recovery mission today. Keep informed! Stay vigilant!

Did the trail off of wood shoot TH in a Rubicon with 35s. Rocky and off camber. We turned around just short of the end of the trail on a super sketchy section that was loose and super off camber. Just wasn't worth the risk alone.
