FS 482

Trail FS 482 begins right off U.S. Route 89A. It’s a gentle, easy trail lined with pine trees and natural grass, making for a relaxed drive through the forest. Be prepared for possible downed trees along the route—bring a saw or be ready to go over or turn around, and avoid creating new trails. You’ll cross a cattle guard, so keep an eye out for livestock as well as wildlife in the area. It’s a great spot to slow down, have lunch, and enjoy the sound of the wind through the trees. From here, you can loop back to 89A or continue deeper into the forest for more exploring.
