Trail Overview

Trail FS 2138 is a red dirt forest road running just west of the Orderville Canyon Sawmill, traveling parallel through a scenic section of the Kaibab Plateau. The trail is rutted but manageable, winding through dense pine forest that opens into thinner, grassy sections. There are a few low-clearance trees, so taller rigs or rooftop tents should take it slow. At the Y, the trail turns left and eventually connects to another route. There are no established campsites along this trail, and it ends at an open fence on the northwest corner. A quiet, beautiful stretch with plenty of wildlife and great opportunities for hiking in the surrounding forest.
