Trail Overview

Trail FS 257G starts off Orderville Canyon Trail as a gentle dirt road with a few water ruts early on. It quickly enters a burned area and follows the ridgeline into a wide meadow scattered with charred trees and pockets of surviving pines. The trail then transitions into a shelf road along the hillside before ending at a water tank, where wildlife often gathers—turkeys have been spotted here. The turnaround at the end is spacious, making it an easy out-and-back route with a mix of open views and burn-scar terrain.
