FS 228P

FS 228P begins off FS 228 and descends along a narrow shelf ledge. Near the beginning, a hidden, deep rut requires careful wheel placement. The trail features several switchbacks and overgrown grass along the ledges, making the edges difficult to see. As the route descends, it enters a dark, dense canopy of pine and aspen trees before opening into a wide meadow where the original track has completely disappeared. The road currently turns left and continues for a short distance. This remote, overgrown backcountry trail offers narrow shelf sections, hidden ruts, and limited visibility. Use caution when navigating the ledges and switchbacks.
