Trail Overview

FS 228B begins off FS 228 and runs east to west beneath a dense canopy of tall pines and aspens. This dirt-and-gravel two-track is an out-and-back trail with some overgrown sections where younger pine trees grow close to the route. A few deep mud holes can develop after rain, making high clearance recommended for 2WD/4WD vehicles. With no obstacles or technical challenges, this beautiful forest trail is excellent for exploring and enjoying lunch among the pine trees. No camping areas were found along the route.
