Trail Overview

FS 228A starts off FS 228 and travels east-west through a beautiful backcountry forest. This out-and-back natural two-track trail is surrounded by a mix of young and mature pine trees, creating a peaceful and scenic forest setting. A few branches lean into the trail but are easily navigated around. Ruts created by past water drainage make portions of the trail somewhat bumpy, but there are no technical sections or significant obstacles encountered. FS 228A is an easy and scenic trail offering a great opportunity to explore the backcountry forest
