Castle Creek Road Copperopolis

Castle Creek Road offshoot is a short spur off the Castle Creek Road trail; it is marked at the entrance with a sign saying, Copperopolis. This trail follows a narrow shelf road along the mountainside. The route winds through tight, overgrown vegetation into higher elevation, with sections prone to vehicle pinstriping and limited passing space. Drivers should use caution due to the narrow exposure and restricted clearance. The trail offers expansive, panoramic views in all directions, making it particularly well-suited for sunrise and early sunset vantage points. At the end of the route, there is a campsite and a gravesite marked off.
