Trail Overview
BLM 30023 breaks off the Wickenburg Mountain Trail and immediately starts climbing, trading easy miles for a narrow shelf road that hugs the mountainside. It’s not overly technical, but it keeps you honest—ruts, washouts, and off-camber sections demand good line choice and steady speed.
The higher you climb, the better it gets. Big, wide-open views stretch out in every direction, making the exposure feel just as real as the terrain. High clearance is needed, and 4WD is strongly recommended to stay in control through the rougher sections.
Keep your speed in check, stay mindful of wheel placement, and respect the narrow stretches. The trail tops out at the intersection with Dry Tank Ridge—ending on a high note with views that make the climb worth it.
Difficulty
