Trail Overview

BLM 30022 continues past the water tank and descends along a generally moderate grade. While less steep than the ascent on the opposite side, the route includes sections of narrow shelf road with ruts and minor erosion. The surface is otherwise straightforward, with no significant technical obstacles. Drivers should remain cautious of changing conditions, as the trail may become difficult or impassable during or after inclement weather. Livestock is commonly present in the area, so reduced speeds and awareness are advised. High-clearance vehicles are recommended, with both 2WD and 4WD typically capable in dry conditions. The trail terminates at a Y-intersection, where onward travel may be restricted; the nearby ranch appears to block access to the connecting route with trash and barrels and large boulders barricading BLM 30017.
