Trail Overview

This bumpy out and back could be more technical, but it has short shelves when climbing in and out of the washes. One will see plenty of majestic saguaro cacti, roadrunners, and quail along the way. Just be careful of the Cholla; they aren't called jumping cacti for nothing. There's an old homestead brick wall, and some mining remains from a time ago. At the end of the trail is an outstanding wildlife water gathering trough. When recording this route, two herds of bighorn sheep were cresting the ridgeline and preparing to come down for an afternoon drink. It's a majestic sight to see. There were a few nice camping spots earlier in the route, and one bar of Verizon LTE fades in and out along the way.
