Trail Overview

This fun cut-across trail connects the AZPT to the well-graded section of Palomas Harquahala Road. Overall the route is easy, with some narrow areas of creosote and sharp mesquite trees guaranteeing to inflict damage to your clear coat. The trail is mostly easy, with a few sections of deep sandy washout transitions, off-camber flexes, and one deep short wash crossing that guarantees contact with bumpers or the ground when crossing with a longer vehicle. The views of the surrounding mountains are spectacular and stretch on for miles. A few dispersed camping spots take full advantage of the views. There is one spot of Verizon LTE at the southern end but nothing to the north.
