Trail Overview

Jug 50016 is a one-lane gravel road with moss and grass growing into the trail, with some potholes. There is a pull-off area for vehicles to pass or park. This road has a small climb to the end, where it levels off and stops before Earl West Creek. There is an area to turn around, and it would be a nice camp area off the main Fools Inlet 6270 road. This is right next to Earl West Creek, which is located right past the end of this road. If fishing in this location, check with Alaska Fish and Wildlife to verify restrictions and get the correct fishing license. This road is mostly lined with trees, and there are muskeg meadows at the end of the road. Watch for bears and wildlife in this area and use Bear safety.
