Race to Morelia Junction

Race to Morelia Junction is part of the recently run Baja 250. Race mile 82 to 87, connecting VCP 76 to 77, delivers a classic mix of race-worn punishment and desert beauty. The trail opens with deep, soft sand and carved-out ruts from recent race traffic--traction is limited, and momentum is key in these early miles. Once past the rutted start, the trail shifts into a long stretch of small to medium whoops. These aren't random--they're rhythmic and evenly spaced, demanding a steady throttle hand and good suspension. If your rig is up for it, it's an accurate "flow" section. This trail is especially rewarding in the late afternoon light, surrounded by dense desert flora and framed by wide-open views of surrounding mountain ranges. At sunset, the terrain glows, offering a surreal contrast to the physical challenge under your tires. The trail drops 500 feet along the track.
