Trail Overview
This trail serves as a rugged connection between El Rosario and the El Truinfo trail. Expect a challenging and technical drive as the route is characterized by rocky terrain and uneven surfaces. Its rough conditions will test both driver skill and vehicle capability. The trail culminates at a key cutoff point where you can descend into the scenic and remote El Truinfo area. This is a great route for experienced off-roaders looking to tackle more demanding terrain and enjoy stunning landscapes along the way. Occasional shelf roads and enticing side trails offer opportunities for exploration, but travelers must be mindful of low-hanging trees, some as low as 6-7 feet.
Difficulty
This trail is rocky and rough. The trail has deep rutted areas and during the rainy season, this trail is most likely impassable. It's essential to have 4WD and the ability to air down your tires for better traction. Keep in mind that these ratings are based on dry conditions; in wet weather, the arroyos may carry running water, significantly increasing the difficulty. Be aware that some sections of the trail feature tree branches hanging as low as 6 to 7 feet, posing a challenge for taller or wider vehicles. If your vehicle exceeds the size of a Jeep, you may need to bring a saw to clear branches.
