Trail Overview
This well-graded gravel road cuts right through the Suzette Recreation Area. With rolling hills and stunning mountain views, it's a solid choice for easily getting from Highway 3 down to Kikomun Road. Ample side shoots and areas to camp off either side make it a great way to get into the area easily, then find your own slice of forest to camp or base out of. Be sure to check out the creek crossings, bridges, and watch for deer, elk, and grouse. There are a few bars of cell service in this area. To ensure you have consistent map coverage, please download your offline maps before exploring the area. Crown Land Camping: Canadian Crown Land is open to Canadian residents for free camping. Out-of-country visitors, particularly from the US, will need to obtain a camping permit from the nearest FrontCounter BC office in Cranbrook before camping on Crown land if camping outside of the paid campsite.
