Trail Overview

The trail runs on the East side of Harrison Lake with amazing scenery. The trail runs from the lake level and go up to the mountains, and back. The road is gravel, some kind of maintained for the first half, then switching to an unmaintained section, and the last portion is very well maintained. Lots of sharp rocks, so a spare and good tires are recommended.

From the BB side. They were doing some ditch/road maintenance around the 12km marker, no other traffic. Made it out to the campsites around the 25km marker. It started snowing heavily so I went back to Ranger Stn #3 (18.5km) and spent a couple nights in the site beside it. Ended up with about a foot of wet snow. Drive out was fine except for a few sketchy downhills with the trailer and some large broken branches. No sign of the road crew on the way out. Chains and chainsaw definitely recommended. If you do make it out there be sure to bring a pump and firewood for the spa!

Few downed trees with cleared paths around, few tiny water crossings, definitely bear country as the road was covered with scat. Gate was closed right at the Boston bar, barely made it back with extremely low fuel so pack a Jerry can.
