Trail Overview

This is a narrow, one-lane gravel forest road with places to pass that leads up to Francis Lake. The trail is steep in places and climbs steadily over 1,000 feet with a 15% maximum pitch. There are minor ruts and wash on the trail, as well as several humps/whoops to navigate. About halfway, the trail narrows along a ledge, and there is a boulder 3-4 feet in diameter in the middle of the trail you must go around, but overall this is an easy trail that could be traveled in any vehicle type.
