This moderate hiking route begins at a trailhead off West Mountain Road, just west of the Village of Corinth. From the parking area, follow a forested path that ascends gradually toward the Corinth Upper Reservoir. The route forms a network of connecting trails, including access to the Bald Mountain Trail. As you hike through mixed hardwood forest, you’ll pass remnants of historic stone walls and the Wilson Farm Historic Site, a quiet clearing with visible traces of early settlement. At several points, side trails and junctions offer opportunities to extend or shorten your route.
Higher sections of trail become steeper and rockier, leading to rewarding overlooks with broad views of the village and surrounding southern Adirondack foothills. Wildlife sightings are common, especially deer, foxes, and songbirds. Trails can be muddy in spring or after rain, and snow-covered in winter, when snowshoes or skis are recommended. This route is a versatile option for day hikes in the southern Adirondacks, offering a mix of history, scenery, and quiet forest.
