Description
The Logan River Trail is a fully paved trail in town that follows right along the river. There is a lot of shade and it's a nice and easy walk. Be sure to keep a very close eye on kids around the river. The water can be very swift especially in the spring. The trail runs from the Rendezvous dog park to Golf Course Road also called 1000 South. It is 1.2 miles one way making a nice little workout that doesn't require you to go up any canyons to get nice views. We usually park on Golf Course road and walk north to south. There is an actual parking lot at the dog park located right on Highway 89/91. There is an opening in the fence marking the start of the trail. You will follow the golf course for much of the way and will quickly cross the river on a bridge. From here, you will follow right on the river for most of the way. It's peaceful and pretty year round. Towards the end the terrain opens up a little and there is even a spot for wading during the summer. The trail ends at the dog park but there is a new trail connector that goes from the park to meet up with the Trapper Park Trail which can make it a longer walk. You will return the way you came. There are not any loop options here.
