Description
Providence Canyon is 6.1-mile there-and-back through a beautiful canyon in the Bear River Mountain Range within the Uinta-Cache-Wasatch National Forest. Sitting within close proximity to Logan, Utah, it provides quick access to adventure trails for multiple outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, ATVs, and camping. Spring Creek flows most of of year through Providence Canyon providing adventurers with stunning views and sounds throughout the entire hike. During the Spring runoff to the middle of Summer, waterfalls can be seen towards the end of the trail. Since there are multiple other unnamed trails at the end of Providence Canyon that lead to other places within the Bear River Range, the trail doesn't truly end. One must be ready to turn around at any point. ATVs usually go on farther past the main trail to reach the higher elevations. This canyon can become quite busy with motorized vehicles and mountain bikes since it so close to town. Hikers and slower moving adventurers must keep their eyes and ears open to faster moving vehicles around every corner.
