Point to Point
The Clarion–Little Toby Creek Trail begins in Ridgway near Water Street and follows a converted railroad corridor to Brockway, ending at Taylor Memorial Park. This long point-to-point route travels through a wooded riparian valley alongside the Clarion River and Little Toby Creek. The crushed limestone surface stays mostly flat, with multiple access points along the route, including Island Run and Jenkins Run. Although the terrain is easy to moderate, the full length requires solid endurance for a full-day hike or run.
Along the way, the route passes remnants of logging-era towns, quiet wetlands, and the Blue Rock Swinging Bridge—a trail-adjacent landmark near Little Toby Creek. Deer, otters, and forest birds are commonly seen, especially in less-trafficked stretches. The trail is open year-round to hikers, bikers, and cross-country skiers, though it can become muddy after storms or during spring runoff. Dogs are allowed on leash, and mobility devices are permitted where accessible. No permit is required, but wear bright clothing during hunting season. This route offers a quiet, immersive experience along a historic corridor through Pennsylvania Game Lands.
