The Acorn Town Forest Trail System begins at the end of Acorn Drive in Kingston, New Hampshire, where a small parking area offers access to a network of well-marked trails. The main Red Trail forms a loop through a quiet forest, following old logging roads and newer singletrack paths. Two short Blue Trail segments connect across the loop, allowing for alternate routes through denser woods. The Orange Trail branches off from the Red Trail and heads east, eventually crossing a conservation easement and exiting the forest near the junction of Rockrimmon Road and Elkins Road. An alternate access point for the Orange Trail exists at this junction, though parking is limited.
The terrain is mostly gentle, with minor elevation changes and wide tread in many areas, making it suitable for most hikers. While no water sources are available, the area offers a peaceful environment for nature walking and wildlife observation. The trail system also connects to a larger regional network via the Noyes and Ahl properties, allowing access to the Tucker & French Family Forest. Trails remain open year-round but may be muddy or snow-covered in winter and early spring. Ticks are common in warmer months, and hikers should remain on marked paths when crossing private land.
