Loop
The LeVine Nature Preserve Outer Loop begins and ends at a small trailhead along Center Line Road. From the parking pull-off, head into the woods and follow the main trail as it loops counter-clockwise through mixed hardwood forest and gently rolling terrain. At the first trail junction, keep right to begin the outer circuit. The route winds through a scenic, well-shaded landscape with occasional stone walls and cellar hole remains—reminders of 19th-century homesteads once scattered through this region.
Two small creeks cross the trail, often flowing briskly, especially in spring or after heavy rain. Footing can be uneven or slick in these areas, so use caution. The trail remains easy to follow with gentle grades throughout, making it accessible to novice hikers or those looking for a relaxed outing. Wildlife sightings are common, and native plant species line the trail, especially near the wetland edges. The route eventually loops back to the initial junction near the trailhead.
This peaceful hike offers a low-effort opportunity to explore the wooded character of the Adirondack foothills without venturing far from the road.
