Lytle Nature Preserve Field

Begin from the parking area on the south side of North Canal Street. Use the marked crosswalk to safely cross the road and enter the Lytle Nature Preserve trail network. Follow the trail as it winds toward the boardwalk section, which offers close-up views of seasonal wildflowers and opportunities to spot birds and other wildlife. After the boardwalk, continue along the path as it loops around the open field before rejoining the original trail near the entrance. This easy walking route is managed by the Town of Lockport Land Conservancy and is ideal for casual day hikes near Lockport.
